Beaver Tailwater
(excerpted from Ozark Trout Tales, by Steve Wright)

Location Between Beaver and Table Rock lakes on the White River, northwest of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It is 17 river miles from Beaver Dam to the Arkansas - Missouri line. Click here for a map of the Beaver Tailwater.
Description Generally considered to be about eight miles, from Beaver Dam past the Houseman Access, but some trout will also be scattered in the next few miles to the town of Beaver, for which Beaver Lake is named. Local anglers think there are big brown trout and rainbow trout that stay in the deep, cool holes in the lower section of the river year round. Houseman, however, is the farthest downstream trout stocking site, and stocking during summer months is discontinued there at times because water surface temperatures often exceed 75 degrees. Catch-and-release fishing only with barless-hook artificial lures from Dam Site Park Camping Area C to 100 yards above Parker Bend Access (1.0 mile).
